2013 Schedule

Please note that the link on the right titled '2010 Schedule' actually takes you to the current (2013) schedule.

Our match and practice areas are in super condition---about like they were 15-20 years ago. We have the entire upper field area lined out with a 75x120 match field, a 68x 120 practice field next to the cemetery and a 68x90 practice area next to the Meeting House/Faculty Bowl.

Rick Flamm and Rob Foreman from EC Grounds have done a great job with this:

The practice area is as good as the match field was a few years ago.

The cemetery field is used for full-sided practice.

EC wins preseason scrimmage

Trick post: Actually it was an intrasquad scrimmage and the Orange beat the Gray 4-1. Ameer Yusuf marked his return with 3 goals and an assist for the Orange with Tiqi Brown scoring the fourth. Kengo Araki scored for the Grey as we played a first eleven-a-side on the varsity field. Play was generally good with both sides producing periods of possession and the usual set of early season errors (forced and unforced) making a lively encounter. New keeper Aaron Falsetto (Ottawa, CN) doing a good job in his first outing. Firstyears Pelle Tracey and Brett Marshall also looked good.

The weather was a challenge since it has been more like summer lately but it appears that we will have good depth going forward. We now enter the playing schedule as we prepare for the Elro Classic this weekend.

2013 begins

Well, the 2013 season has begun. How do I know ?

A rarely seen fungus, Orange Dot Fungus, appears on the soccer area:





















And from this the soccer area grows. The entire upper field area is ours to use now that Field Hockey practices in the new baseball field outfield and plays at the Stadium.





















 Squirrels appear and the area takes shape. The playing surface is better than it has been for decades.
