For a lot of reasons I won't go into here, I haven't posted since last fall. I'm back and a new season looms with all the promise we all have in August. That promise includes a returning group that cama back fitter than any I have ever had by far. The best beep test result of 2009 would be below the mean set by this group. Gerry Keesling (EC football head coach) says we're bigger than FB is. Not true, but this is clearly the most athletic crew I've ever had. We've had some unexpected departures so we'll again be needing to gather experience and forge leadership but again, I'm really pleased with the crew. Maybe the best news is who's back: Rob Richardson returns as assistant after a year at Tusculum in Tennessee. Absolutely great news for the team and me. I'll keep you posted as we begin to get out on the recruiting trail near wherever you are. Best of luck to all my alum coaches as the season stsrts. More soon.....
